About Me
Raised and currently residing in Ōkato, Taranaki, making things has been a big part of my life from a very early age, largely due to having the positive influence and encouragement of an artist father.
After leaving school I studied jewellery techniques at Manukau Institute of Technology in Auckland NZ. Once I finished my studies in 2001, I was lucky enough to be invited to participate in exhibitions, sell my work in NZ galleries and feature in a few magazines;

Later on I went travelling and based myself in the UK for six years where I worked as a bench jeweller and tutor for an independent jewellery store. Also, up-skilling in jewellery workshop classes here in NZ and in the UK.
The jewellery I have made in this time has varied greatly. From Maori/Pacific inspired pieces, organic shapes and natural materials to traditional silver/gold-smithing, gem setting and repairs.

These basket earrings are individually hand carved, making every pair a truly one of a kind piece.
Measuring approximately 60mm in length and 30mm wide, they're a bold yet lightweight statement earring suited to everyday wear and special occasions alike.
Fitted with sterling silver ear hooks and rubber safety stoppers, they're as comfortable and secure as they are striking.
Because antler is a natural material, no two pairs are identical, slight variations in tone and shape are part of their unique character.

The Kina, New Zealand's native sea urchin, is one of the coast's most recognisable forms. This ring takes that radiating spine texture and brings it into a continuous sterling silver band at 8mm wide and 2-3mm thick.
Available to order in a full range of sizes from J to T.
Care note: The kina texture is a feature of this ring and like all fine surface detail in silver, it will gradually soften and develop a natural patina with wear. Best worn for everyday occasions rather than during manual or hands-on work.

Each pair of these earrings is individually hand carved and naturally dyed to bring out its individual character. The antler is then paired with a textured sterling silver hoop, adding a bold metallic contrast to the earthy, organic form of the carved piece.
Because antler is a natural material and each piece is carved and dyed by hand, no two sets are ever quite the same; pairs are always slightly mismatched rather than perfectly identical, which is part of their unique, handmade appeal.
Measuring 65mm in length (including the hook) and 35mm in width, these earrings have a noticeable presence without feeling heavy.
The natural lightness of antler means they're comfortable to wear for extended periods. They hang from sterling silver hooks, fitted with rubber safety stoppers to keep them securely and comfortably in place throughout the day.
