It’s worth prefacing this with; You don’t need to feel like a creative person to make jewellery. All you need is desire to learn, to use your hands and time set aside just for yourself….a very important factor in our busy lives.
In this course you will learn how to create silver and copper jewellery from scratch using traditional jewellery making tools and techniques in a fully equipped workshop.
Each week we will cover a different activity and create several items within the 7 week timeframe. Making the following; a textured ring, a pair of earrings, a bangle with a charm, a pendant, a stone set ring and the final week will be a free play session and there is flexibility within those items being made.
Saw, file, sand, solder and polish your way to brand new jewellery and a guaranteed sense of accomplishment. Explore your creativity in an open and safe environment with a hands-on practical approach. You are bound to surprise yourself by what you can accomplish.
Tools, equipment and some materials supplied. Silver charged out at finished item weight.
Class runs for 7 weeks during school term; 5.30pm start on a Thursday and runs for 3 hours. Limited spaces.
Ages 16+. 12-15yrs must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
